Australia Bushfire Emergency

Australia endured the most dangerous and catastrophic bushfires they have ever seen.

The fires in Australia at the start of 2020 were devastating.

More than 10 million hectares were burnt. That’s the equivalent of 40% of the entire UK.

Lives, homes, and an estimated 3 billion animals were affected, including 30% of the entire koala population in mid-north coast of New South Wales. These catastrophic megafires worsened the extinction crisis that we’re already facing.

Donate to the Australia appeal

Up to 19 million hectares burned in the most catastrophic bushfire season Australia has ever experienced, and nearly 3 billion animals were impacted by the fires.

While the fires were raging our focus was supporting the frontline organisations rescuing and caring for injured and affected wildlife. Now it's time to focus on restoring what has been lost and protecting the remaining wildlife habitats, future-proofing them for fire seasons ahead.

Your donation will not only help fund our Australia teams projects to work along with local communities and restoring habitats, but also fund our other vital work around the world.

We’ll keep reviewing where the money is most needed. Thank you for your amazing support.
