"I first supported the WWF when I was 7 years old"

"I decided to become a member of WWF because I have an interest in biology and, by extension, in the natural world for a long time but also because I was worried about the environmental degradation that I began to hear about almost two decades ago.

"We live in a vital moment for the future of the earth, for both faunal and human life, with the climate. I would say that the WWF is a key part of the solution."

"I wanted to do something to help protect wildlife and our natural world"

"It’s your chance to do something about the crisis our world is facing. If you’ve been worried about climate change and the effects on our planet and wildlife, here’s your opportunity to do something about it.

"You’ll get regular updates on how your money is being put to good use."

"I like the magazines and positive stories of your impact"

"WWF works to protect animals but also their habitats and nature and works to address the wider impacts of climate change. It is large enough to have a global impact and is recognised as a major player so has a powerful voice.

"Membership is a good way to get your money to where it is most needed as WWF can decide which projects need support and have certainty of your donations."

BRINGING SPECIES BACK FROM THE BRINK

12 years ago, tigers were heading for extinction. Now, tiger populations are starting to recover.  By working with local communities, governments and others we've helped double the number of wild tigers in Nepal and in some of India’s tiger reserves.

Protecting UK Nature

Numbers of hedgehogs, birds, butterflies, and bees have plummeted and the UK is now one of the most nature depleted countries in the world. Our members are helping us push for new laws that will restore our precious nature here in the UK.

FIXING THE FOOD SYSTEM

Through the WWF Basket and WWF’s Retailers’ Commitment for Nature, we are working with the UK’s leading food retailers to halve the environmental impact of UK shopping baskets by 2030.

DECLINE IN SPECIES POPULATIONS

Species population trends show an average 69% fall in monitored populations of mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and fish since 1970. One in six species are at risk of extinction.

HABITAT AND NATURE DESTRUCTION

Nature is in freefall – from our iconic species to fragile coral reefs and the biodiversity that makes up the fabric of life on Earth. This tragic loss shows no signs of slowing.

OUR FOOD SYSTEM

The way we produce and consume food drives 60% of global nature loss – and around 37% of the world’s land area is used for food production.
