This Christmas, we’re asking you to knit for nature and give a gift that lasts.

In 1989, renowned knitwear designer Ruth Herring co-released the book Knitting Wildlife. Complete with original knitting patterns and celebrity photoshoots, it helped raise vital funds for WWF at the time.

This year, the patterns have been lovingly re-imagined by Ruth in this limited-edition collection. Offering us a modern take on vintage knitwear, Ruth blends retro charm with contemporary fashion. We’re providing these patterns as free downloads so you can craft for a cause this Christmas and raise awareness of endangered animals.

Knit for Nature

Whether you’re knitting as a hobby or to create a gift that lasts for a loved one, bring wildlife into your knits through the beautifully designed tiger and penguin patterns.

Sign up and choose from the following templates:

  • Tiger hat
  • Tiger jumper
  • Penguin hat
  • Penguin sweater
  • Penguin vest
  • Penguin bag
