Celebrate Local Wildlife on Squirrel Appreciation Day
When is Squirrel Appreciation Day UK?
Squirrel Appreciation Day is on January 21st 2025.
How can we help squirrels by celebrating Squirrel Appreciation Day?
- Keep an eye out for our furry friends and consider putting out a shallow dish of water and unsalted nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds) in your garden during winter when squirrels can struggle to find food sources.
- Help with conservation efforts by reporting any red squirrel sightings.
- Get outdoors for a winter walk and try the WWF litter picking challenge to help local wildlife (squirrels included!) thrive. Check out our list of what other nature you can spot in Winter as you walk!
