Your impact

Your membership goes towards on-the-ground conservation programmes and work to tackle the biggest environmental threats to our world.

Protecting iconic animals

We're working to stabilise and increase populations of the world's most iconic and threatened species, working on every continent towards a future where both people and nature thrive.

Membership impact

We're tracking African elephants to help reduce the threat of poaching and prevent conflict with communities. For example, we're installing beehive fences to keep elephants away from people's crops where herds are roaming too close. They're a natural deterent and communities can sell the honey.

Our food system

The way we produce and consume food drives 60% of global nature loss – and around 37% of the world’s land area is used for food production. It also accounts for 29% of global greenhouse gas emissions.

Membership impact

We're supporting regenerative farming practices, by backing farmers in a shift to restore nature and tackle climate change by repairing our broken food system. In parallel, we are working with the UK’s leading food retailers to halve the environmental impact of UK shopping baskets by 2030.

Climate change

People and nature across the world are experiencing the devastating impacts of climate change, which will increase substantially with every fraction of a degree of additional warming.

Membership impact

WWF-UK are working with governments in England, Scotland and Wales to reduce the UK's emissions and bring us in line with our national and international climate targets. In addition, we're campaigning to prevent deforestation of the world's tropical forests, like the Amazon, which are nearing their natural tipping point that risk catastrophic consequences for global climate impacts.
